Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the TermI Android application developed by LP-DevTech accesses, uses, stores, and transmits information.
1. Developer and contact
Developer: LP-DevTech
Application: TermI
Privacy contact: info@lp-devtech.com
Website: https://lp-devtech.com/
2. Information TermI may collect
Cloud account information
If you choose to use cloud features, TermI may process:
- email address;
- account or user identifiers;
- login credentials and email verification codes;
- Google Sign-In identity token when Google Sign-In is used;
- a randomly generated TermI installation identifier and the phone manufacturer/model.
Cloud account data is not required for local Bluetooth-only use.
Installer profile information
If a user voluntarily creates an installer profile, TermI may process information entered by that user, such as name, phone number, WhatsApp number, company, city, service areas, description, specialization, and languages.
Device and installation information
When configuring or linking supported LP-DevTech devices, TermI may process:
- device name;
- device MAC/BLE identifier;
- selected Wi-Fi SSID and configuration data;
- installation address, if the user chooses to enter one;
- device configuration, status, and diagnostic information.
Push notifications
If push notifications are enabled, TermI uses a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver notifications to the device.
Diagnostics
TermI may send technical error messages and raw device configuration/status packets to Firebase Realtime Database for troubleshooting and product reliability. These diagnostic records are organized by device identifier and are not used for advertising.
3. Data used locally on the phone
Some information is processed locally and is not uploaded as a complete list to LP-DevTech servers, including:
- nearby BLE scan results while searching for a supported device;
- nearby Wi-Fi network scan results while selecting a network;
- QR camera frames used to read an invitation code;
- application language and interface preferences;
- local diagnostic logs and downloaded files.
A selected Wi-Fi network or device identifier may later be transmitted when the user chooses to configure or link a device. Local diagnostic files are shared only when the user explicitly uses the Android share function.
4. Android permissions
TermI may request the following permissions only when required for application functionality:
- Bluetooth scan/connect — to discover and connect to LP-DevTech devices;
- Location permission on older Android versions — required by Android for BLE/Wi-Fi scanning compatibility; TermI does not read GPS coordinates;
- Wi-Fi state — to scan and configure Wi-Fi networks;
- Camera — to scan invitation QR codes; images are not uploaded;
- Notifications — to display push notifications when the user enables them;
- Internet/network access — for cloud API, WebSocket, Firebase, and online resources.
5. Google and Firebase services
TermI uses Google services where needed, including:
- Google Sign-In;
- Firebase Core;
- Firebase Cloud Messaging;
- Firebase Realtime Database;
- Firebase Installations.
These services may process technical information required to provide their functionality, such as Firebase installation identifiers, application version, IP address, and user-agent information.
TermI does not include Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, an advertising SDK, or use an Android advertising ID in the reviewed release configuration.
6. How information is used
Information is used only for purposes related to TermI and supported LP-DevTech devices, including:
- account creation, sign-in, session management, and security;
- local and cloud device control;
- device linking, sharing, invitations, and access management;
- device setup and configuration;
- push notifications;
- installer profile functionality, when voluntarily used;
- diagnostics, troubleshooting, service reliability, and fraud/security prevention.
7. Sharing of information
LP-DevTech does not sell personal data and does not use TermI data for advertising.
Data may be processed by service providers used to operate TermI, including Google services such as Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Realtime Database, and Firebase Installations. These services are used to provide application functionality and infrastructure.
Device access can also be intentionally shared by the user with another person, family member, or installer through TermI's device sharing/invitation features.
8. Security
TermI uses HTTPS and secure WebSocket connections (WSS) for cloud communications. Account passwords are stored on LP-DevTech systems using one-way password hashing rather than in plain text. Verification codes and selected security tokens are also stored using one-way hashes where applicable.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but LP-DevTech uses reasonable technical measures intended to protect user information.
9. Data retention
Account and cloud data is retained only for as long as needed to provide requested TermI services, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and meet applicable legal or operational requirements.
Technical diagnostic information that is not linked to an account may be retained as needed for troubleshooting, product reliability, and security. Local files remain on the user's device until the user removes them or clears application data.
10. Account and data deletion
TermI provides an account deletion option inside the application for users who created a cloud account. Deleting an account removes the account and associated account records used by the LP-DevTech cloud service.
Users may also request account deletion outside the application by emailing info@lp-devtech.com with the subject “TermI account deletion request”.
We may ask for reasonable verification to confirm that the request comes from the account owner. Data that must be retained for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, legal, or regulatory reasons may be retained only for the applicable purpose and period.
Technical diagnostics that are not linked to a cloud account are not account records and may be retained for service reliability and troubleshooting.
11. Children's privacy
TermI is intended for users who manage or configure supported LP-DevTech devices and is not designed specifically for children. LP-DevTech does not knowingly use TermI to collect children's data for advertising.
12. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when TermI functionality, data practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on the LP-DevTech website with an updated revision date.
